KBACKWOOD$

Kbackwood$ is the musical moniker of California-based artist Kai Iversen, whose sound pulls from alternative, emo rap, and modern pop-punk. Shaped by roots that stretch across Alaska, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and California, his music balances raw emotion with melody, distortion, and modern production. He first gained underground momentum with the 2021 single “Red Lipstick,” followed by releases including “16th Floor” and “Cigarettes.” Across his catalog, Kbackwood$ moves between trap-influenced production and guitar-driven rock without locking himself into one lane. Onstage, that same volatility carries through, with a live presence built around intensity rather than polish.
